His career includes four albums and performances across several continents, leaving an indelible mark on classical music thanks to his dedication and passion for the guitar.
A disciple of renowned guitar masters Ricardo Gallén and Eliot Fisk, Javier has also studied with other prominent figures of the guitar world such as Leo Brouwer and David Russell. In 2015, he completed his higher studies in musical performance at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, earning the extraordinary graduation award. In 2014, he lived in Weimar, Germany, to study at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt. In 2015, he moved to Salzburg, Austria, to pursue a Master's in musical performance at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, achieving the highest grades.
Javier has been awarded over a dozen prizes in international competitions, including: the Juventudes Musicales de España Award (2014), First Prize at the Gredos de San Diego International Guitar Competition (2014), First Prize at the Havana International Guitar Competition (2018), and the "Leo Brouwer" Award at the Andrés Segovia International Competition (2020).
His performances cover much of Spain, as well as Europe (Germany, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, the United Kingdom), Russia (Moscow), the United States (Washington DC, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Malibu), Australia (Adelaide and Canberra), and Cuba (Havana). As a concerto soloist, he has shared the stage with conductors such as Eliahu Inbal and Jordi Francés, performing with orchestras like the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Kammerorchester Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Filarmonía Orchestra of Madrid, and the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, among others. In chamber music, Javier regularly performs in ensembles, including the Primo Tempo duo with clarinetist Carlos Orobón, a duo with baritone Javier Recio, a duo with soprano Natalia Labourdette, and the Martín-Verdugo duo with percussionist Tomás Martín.
His discography includes four albums: “DESIDERATUM” (2015), “Impresiones” (2017), which was recognized as “Disco Melómano de Oro,” “Primo Tempo” (2020), and “Invocación y danza” (2021). These albums are available both in physical format and on all digital platforms. He has also made numerous recordings for radio and television.
Additionally, Javier is an artist with the Mediaset España Group, for which he has worked not only as a performer but also as a composer and producer, with his most notable production being the television program “Musical Cities” on Telecinco. Among his radio and television appearances, he has performed for Castilla-La Mancha TV in tribute to guitarist Paco de Lucía and participated in a documentary about La Granja de San Ildefonso for RTVE in collaboration with Sony and Dolby.
